Today at noon supporters of the arts gathered on the corner of Broad and Walnut to voice their opposition to the new tax on ticket sales for the arts.

Several hundred people gathered outside of The Bellevue, where Senator Larry Farnese, Senartor Daylin Leach, and Senator Mike Stack spoke to the crowd before their march on the Avenue of the Arts to the Arts Bank.

Margie Salvante, executive director of Theater Alliance of Greater Philadelphia, said "We are not here to protest the Governor, we love the Governor. It is a coincidence that the Governor's offices are located in The Bellevue, where we began the rally. We are here to rally against the tax on the arts and to support the arts in Philadelphia."

Six Italian female journalists, known as Donnaventura, visited The Bellevue on September 8th. Known for their adventurous reporting around the world, the group decided to take on the sights and tastes of The Bellevue.
The Donnavventura six are seen here at The Sporting Club. Tiffany Bucciarelli, GM of TSC, supplied the women with the classic "Rocky" look for their morning workout.

The six are seen here working out in front of The Bellevue. Ramon Clark, a trainer at The Sporting Club, gave them a sample of Training Camp.

After a hard workout they decided to refuel at Rick's Philly Steaks, located in The Bellevue's Food Court.

Getting a first hand look at how these famous cheese steaks are made.

After their cheese steaks they rode the elevator nineteen stories up to XIX.

The girls got to relax and enjoy smoothies on the terrace of XIX, taking in the beautiful view of Philadelphia.
Ellen Kornfield from the Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau, left, as well as Molly O'Shea, Public Relations and Marketing Director for the Park Hyatt, right, welcomed the visitors.

XIX surprised Marizio, Donnavventura producer, with a sample of their desserts for his birthday.

After taking in the view from XIX, the six had to move on to the next location.

Packing their trucks up and saying their goodbye's.
